Delivering a Healthy WA
WA Cervical Cancer Prevention Program

CCR information for health professionals

Not for Registry (NFR) patients

As registration with the CCR is voluntary, all WA women have the right to opt off. This issue should be discussed with your patient at the time of consultation. Should she decide not to have her results forwarded to the registry, please order the appropriate stickers provided by the CCR to use on the laboratory request form. Alternatively, you can clearly mark "NFR" on the form.

Practice Incentive Program (PIP) – Cervical Screening Component

The CCR helps implement the cervical screening component of the Commonwealth Practice Incentives Program (PIP) initiatives.

Completing the PIP form will enable the CCR to provide GPs with a list of women for whom they were the last known health care provider and who have not had a Pap smear in the past 4 years. The CCR must receive the GP’s historical provider number(s) and address(es) covering this period.

If these women come in for screening, the GP will be eligible to receive a payment for this service if the appropriate item number is provided.
