Genetics of cognitive impairment in schizophrenia

We aim to identify variants directly involved in the enhanced risk for development of schizophrenia employing sequencing and large-scale SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) genotyping.

We also study other genes involved in neurotransmission, including mainly glutamate and GABA receptor genes, for association with schizophrenia in our samples.
