Art therapy uses visual art materials and other expressive forms to help people with mental health issues. Creating art can help you express yourself and communicate better. Our programs are free and most materials are included at no cost.
What is art therapy?
Art therapists work with people of all ages and backgrounds – you don’t have to be an artist to benefit. All types of visual art forms may be used such as painting, drawing and clay work. Art therapy can consist of individual sessions or work in groups.
Creative Expression Centre for Arts Therapy (CECAT)
CECAT's art therapy programs offer a variety of group and individual art sessions in large studios. We help youth and adults with acute mental illness and those at risk of relapse before or after hospitalisation.
Reflections Art Studio
Reflections Art Studio provides art facilities and instruction in a supportive, community environment for adults living with or recovering from persistent mental illness.
