Facts and figures

We employ over 31,000 staff and provide health services across the state of Western Australia to over 2.1 million people in metropolitan, rural and remote areas.  In the past year, there have been:

  • 830,341 attendances at hospital emergency departments
  • 464,353 hospital admissions
  • 771,327 outpatient appointments
  • 74,975 elective surgeries performed
  • 21,943 babies born
