Education
Are you a healthcare professional wanting to know more about how best to manage wounds?
WoundsWest Education is an online interactive program designed by wound management experts. The program will help you provide better patient care by improving your ability to prevent and manage wounds.
This evidence-based program is free and can be used anytime - day or night.
The program is divided into modules:
- Core Module covers basic wound assessment and management
- Pressure Ulcer Module focuses on pressure ulcer prediction, prevention and management
- Foot Ulcer Module deals with assessment and management of the “at risk” foot
You can move through each module at your own pace:
- test your current knowledge with a quiz
- use a case study to carry out a wound assessment and devise a management plan
- start from the beginning and enjoy your journey
Take a look and start learning – we suggest that you start with the Core Module, as the other modules build on the material in the Core Module.

Look out for our next module - the Burns Module. WoundsWest, in partnership with the Burns Team at Royal Perth Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital, is developing a module that will assist both hospital and community clinicians in the management of burns.
We will add more modules to our program over the next 12 months.
We welcome your feedback, suggestions and comments on the education modules. Please contact us or use the online form in the program.
