Ambulance ramping (in hours) for 27/03/2017

Ramping refers to the length of time in excess of 20 minutes that a St John Ambulance Australia (SJAA) ambulance waits at a given hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) from its arrival at ED until the ambulance is available to return to active service.

During instances of ambulance ramping, patients are physically located in the ED but remain in the care of ambulance officers or paramedics.

For ramping hours, the closer the number is to 0 indicates better performance.

Off Stretcher - Percentage of Patients Off Stretcher within 20 minutes for 27/03/2017

Off Stretcher is the length of time between the arrival of an ambulance at a hospital Emergency Department (ED) and the point in time that the patient is transferred from the care of the St John Ambulance Australia (SJAA) crew to the care of the ED staff. This report displays the percentage of patients that are handed over to the care of ED staff within 20 minutes. For Off Stretcher time, the closer the numbers are to 100% indicates better performance.
