|Description:||The WA health system is committed to the management of its risks including those associated with the activities it performs, those inherent in its operations and others by which it may be adversely affected. This includes prudently conducting risk assessment processes to identify, analyse, evaluate and treat risks and being able to demonstrate the management
In complying with the Treasurer's Instructions, management positions need to focus on material risks at all levels of their organisation and take necessary action to manage those risks.
Analysis and evaluation of risk is to be made with reference to the approved WA Health Integrated Corporate and Clinical Risk Analysis Tables and Evaluation Criteria 2009 (as amended 2011) and as may be amended from time to time. Risk treatment decisions are to be consistent with authorised risk appetite.
Risk management practices are to be consistent with AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management - Principles and Guidelines.
