Annual Leave Loading Maximum – 2012/2013

(1)       WAGES EMPLOYEES
 
(a)       Registered Nurses, Midwives and Enrolled Mental Health Nurses

The maximum leave loading that may be paid on four weeks (or five weeks in the case of shift workers) annual leave from 1 October 2012 is $2,017.10.
 
(b)       Support Workers, Aboriginal Health Workers, Dental Technicians and Catering and Tea Attendants
 
(i)         Four Weeks
The maximum leave loading that may be paid on four weeks annual leave commencing from 1 October 2012 is $1,613.70.

(ii)       Five Weeks for Shift Workers
The maximum leave loading that may be paid on five weeks annual leave in the case of shift workers commencing from 1 October 2012 is $2,017.10.

(c)       Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing

There is no leave loading maximum for Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing under clause 40.2 of the WA Health – LHMU – Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, Aboriginal and Ethnic Health Workers Industrial Agreement 2011.
 
 
(2)       SALARIED OFFICERS
 
(a)           Hospital Salaried Officers

(i)         Four Weeks
An employee who receives four weeks annual leave will accrue an additional 3.5 days after each period of 12 months continuous service.  This additional leave is in substitution for 17.5% annual leave loading.

(ii)        Five Weeks
There is no leave loading maximum for shift workers who receive five weeks annual leave under paragraph 33.13(a) of the WA Health – Health Services Union – PACTS – Industrial Agreement 2011.

(b)       Government Officers and Public Servants

The maximum leave loading that may be paid on:

(i)         Four Weeks
The maximum leave loading that may be paid on four weeks annual leave commencing after 31 December 2012 is $1,613.70.

(ii)       Five Weeks for Shift Workers
The maximum leave loading that may be paid on five weeks annual leave in the case of shift workers commencing from 31 December 2012 is $2,017.10.

(3)       OTHER EMPLOYEES

(a)       Engineering and Building Services Employees
The annual base salaries in the WA Health Engineering and Building Services Industrial Agreement 2012 incorporate a commuted allowance which is in substitution for leave loading.

(b)       Medical Practitioners
Annual leave loading has been annualised into the base salary.
