Amendment to WA Health Code of Conduct
The WA Health Code of Conduct has been amended to reflect the following new Public Sector Commissioner’s Instructions and Guide:
The Commissioner’s instruction No. 7 – Code of Ethics sets out the minimum standards of conduct and integrity to be complied with by all public sector bodies and employees. It replaces the previous version of the Code of Ethics issued 1 February 2008.
The Commissioner’s instruction No. 8 – Codes of Conduct and Integrity Training establishes the requirement for public sector bodies to develop their own code of conduct and to provide training to their employees and board members on accountable and ethical decision-making. It also identifies the official conduct requirements which must be included within a public sector body’s code of conduct. This Instruction also makes reference to the Conduct Guide.
There is no substantive change to the content of the Code of Conduct other than the inclusion of updated links to the new Commissioner’s Instructions and Guide.
This is a system wide policy and supersedes all policies related to the WA Health Code of Conduct.
