Information Technology Policy – Teleworking – ICT Facilities Policy (P13/0506)
The Teleworking – ICT Facilities Policy P13/0506 for WAGHS has been produced to provide a guide for the use of Teleworking – ICT facilities connected to the WAGHS network. The policy has been endorsed by the State Health Executive Forum and is available on Holii at http://intranet.health.wa.gov.au/ITPolicy/policies/index.cfm#policies
The policy addresses issues including Department of Health and WA public sector policies and procedures for the safe, secure and authorised operation of teleworking - ICT facilites used to access WAGHS computing and communication resources and information
This policy references and complements the Department of Health’s Flexible Work Practices Policy (OP 0830/96) and Telecommuting Guideline (OP 0834/96). These documents must be read in conjunction with this policy as they cover a number of important issues such as insurance and occupational safety & health.
Effective: August 2006Implementation Strategy
Executives of all WAGHS entities are to put in place appropriate procedures to implement this policy.
 WAGHS includes all WA government health sector entities including Department of Health (DOH) entities, public hospitals, public community health services, public pathology laboratories, public dental services, public health and mental health clinics and services, public nursing homes, contracted services and any other WA government health sector organisational entities ultimately under the direction and control of the Minister for Health.
